About
Mark Kotterink is a color researcher and educator based in the Netherlands. His work connects color science to professional practice through four parallel lines of research — cultural variation in color experience, professional color competency assessment, modular normlight architectures, and applied color in industry, healthcare and design.
He is founder and director of the Stichting Nederlands Kleur Instituut (SNKI), where he leads the Nederlandse Kleurenschool and develops vocational color education. He developed the Color Experience System (CES) and the assessment framework underlying the ColorAptitude platform.
